Our foundation is named for Dr. Harvey Neiman, an outstanding doctor and community leader. He was passionate about music. He listened to all different genres of music. He even loved watching The Voice and American Idol on TV and it wasn’t uncommon to hear him singing along to his favorite melodies in the car.
Learn about Harvey Neiman
When he was a child, Dr. Neiman would have loved to have learned how to play an instrument, but his parents were unable to afford one for him. Sadly, that’s the case for a lot of kids these days – there are more and more parents struggling just to make ends meet, let alone be able to afford a musical instrument and lessons.
Learn about our Goals
We believe that music is life-changing, and that every child should be able to have the opportunity Dr. Neiman did not have. With that in mind, we’ve set up this non-profit organization that’s committed to providing musical instruments and lessons to children and young adults who can’t afford them.
Music is Universal
Music can change the world because it can change people.
I think music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s somethingwe are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.
– Billy Joel
Music is the language of the spirit. It opens the secret of life bringing peace, abolishing strife.
